How can we renew your teaching skills?
The Spirit of God gifts teachers and gives wisdom and understanding. The Spirit’s full anointing was upon Jesus Christ and people became amazed by His teaching. Let us think a bit more about how the Spirit of God seeks to empower our own teaching.
✦ #1 Desirous (2 Peter 1:4)
We are desirous to see God’s Word wonderfully address the genuine needs of each heart.
✦ #2 Purposed (Colossians 1:28)
We are confident in the full and rich life God’s Word provides us.
✦ #3 Humbled (Luke 6:40)
We can grasp the Lord’s teaching only when we are wholly depending on God’s Spirit teaching us.
✦ #4 Prayerful (1 Th 5:17)
We depend upon the Spirit to accomplish His good purposes in the students through prayer.
✦ #5 Attentive (Job 36:22)
We anticipate the Spirit to teach us in many ways and at all times.
✦ #6 Changeable (Philippians 3:8,9)
We expect the Spirit to bring greater holiness to His people in order to more deeply know Him.
✦ #7 Meditative (Ps 1:1-2)
We are confident that the Holy Spirit will amazingly use God’s Word which has been stored up in our lives through past meditation.
