Have you ever felt vulnerable and alone with no one to help? If so, you need a priest. A priest helps us by standing up for us. He does what we can’t do for ourselves so that we can get through our difficulty.
As Christians, Jesus Christ is our wonderful priest. As priest He stands as a mediator between God and His people. Before we were Christians, sin stood between God and us. We lived in rebellion against God’s rules for living. It was our state rather than one or two things we did. This was the way we were and neither could we change on our own.
We certainly did not deserve a chance to restore our relationship with God. But God in His great patient and kindness sent Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, to die for us sinners. “For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5).
We have lots to learn from the way God chose to reach out to us in our need. We will not only learn about how Jesus helped us get rid of sin but also how He wants to use our lives to reach other needy people. Try drawing each of the diagrams above.
A strategic basic discipleship series designed to help Christians grow not only in their relationship with God but also with other people. Each section uses a familiar relationship to bring out basic but very practical Biblical teaching.
We highly recommend getting the BFF Discipleship #1 Digital Library which not only includes the Relationship Discipleship book, but slides, summaries, user guide, teacher's reference, etc. This D#1 Library also contains all our other Christian training resources for new believers.
These Christian media-enriched resources can also be purchased in the BFF Resource Center.
