What is more important? The body or the engine?
What they don't realize is that worry problems reveal a deeper heart problem that will get worse and worse until a crisis occurs.

This answer is easy. The engine is much more important. But without this question, we would go by sight and make judgments of the car based on the body of the car. Did you ever hear someone exclaim, "Wow, look at that cool car!"
We have the same problem when trying to understand our worries. We look at the obvious. We see what we actually worry about. These potential problems are not the real problem that needs to be dealt with. They are possible future problems, but most of them will probably never happen anyway.
We might lose a job. We might miss a bus. We might even lose our boyfriend. Some of these potential problems happen, some don't. We think the worry problems are the main problem. This is what we tell others. But it is not the root problem.
For example, if you tell someone that you are worried about some matter, they will instantly bring up a number of solutions. But these rarely help a person overcome their worries.
Their worries are hearttroubled. They can't even hear the logic of the statements.
We pay attention to the actual worries because like the body of a car, they are what we see. However, if we want to overcome worries,
we need to see what powers them. We need to take a look at their engine.
Many people think that worry is part of their lives. They might have tried to get rid of them in the past because they became oppressive but after failing, they just learned to live with them. What they don't realize is that worry problems reveal a deeper heart problem that will get worse and worse until a crisis occurs.
