Disciple new believers by providing short Biblical-teaching videos explaining to new Christians and to those training new Christians how to build up their faith in Christ.
I have talked to many pastors around the world and found to my dismay that very few of them make disciples.
Many have been to seminaries, often giving a huge sum of money, and yet they come out of their training not making disciples.
Jesus so explicitly tells all of us to go and make disciples.
"And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
The problem is not power, methodology or motivation (Christ commanded us). So what holds His people back from making disciples?
I train people to make disciples to pastors and teachers all around the world, but I am so limited. So I devised this series to go where I cannot.
Those new believers (or maybe immature believers now) can get the basic teachings they need to grow.
3xE is a seven lesson discipling booklet for new believers: exaltation, edification, and evangelism. |
This series first started when my sixth child, Kathryn, came to know the Lord. No one from the church was discipling her. Even though I know it would be better for a sister to disciple her, I took it upon myself. Better something than nothing.
BFF has two other training materials for this basic discipleship training level: 3xE and Cross Trainers (see sidebar where they can be purchased). I call this basic level D1 standing for Discipleship Stage #1.
This series fits another key need.
I wanted to present short biblical videos that can be passed around easy and that take key passages on how it relates to new believers. Please be aware that they are not being produced in order!
Study and review questions are also provided.
John 1:12-13 speaks simply about how a person comes to be a believer and part of God's family.
Once the new believer trusts God to take care of his needs, he then can focus on God's will and ways.
The new believer faces numerous questions which most people around him or her do not know the answers to. Discover these answers here!
The new believer grows strong in his faith when he deepens his commitment to be like Christ. This commitment is clearly described in Romans 12:1-2 where God empowers His children to do His good, acceptable and perfect will.
So please join together with me that we might be called the 'good and faithful servant' doing exactly what Jesus told us to do - making disciples.
