What impact does God's Word have on your lives?

Do you really want God to get involved in your life?

God's Word is hidden from the heart of the doubter. These Christians have lost their confidence in the scriptures. They are busy with life, making money, making friends, their boyfriend, etc.

These are the ones who have heard the word, and the worries of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. (Mark 4:18-19)

God's Word does not seem relevant to them. Their lack of faith keeps God’s Word in its sheath. They need to ask a question of themselves:

Have I really put God's Word in my heart?

My brother and I had fights when we were smaller. We would start off with words and progress to fists, legs, and other things like books. Because our bedroom was in the basement of a large old house, we soon went on to big and better things! Once he grabbed a stick. Holding a book no longer worked for me!

We even got objects 5-6 feet long. But something changed when my brother reached high school. He had a selection of machetes. They are long knives used for slashing thick tropical forests. When he came back with one of his long 3 foot blades, I knew then he won the fight! I scooted off to see what Mom was doing upstairs. I thank the Lord we never managed to hurt each other.

When the sword is taken out of its sheath, those around know something is going to happen. When God’s Word is unleashed in our hearts, then there are remarkable experiences with God Himself.
