Responding to Reports (1-6)
Replying to their Letter
1 Corinthians is split up in two large parts. |
1 Corinthians 1-6 discuss Paul's response to different reports he had heard about the Corinthian church. They tend to be more touchy topics. | 1 Corinthians 7-16 discuss issues that the Corinthians themselves had brought up in some letter mentioned in 7:1. These issues are more what one might think addressed in public: issues about worship, spiritual gifts, and doctrinal controversies. |
1 Corinthians 6:9-149) Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, |
1 Corinthians 6:15-2015) Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take away the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? May it never be! |
