Developing Faith into Faithfulness
Go through the meditation exercise yourself. Try another phrase in Philippians 2:3-5. Say it aloud or write it down. It is a very demanding time but usually rather short.
If you are not regularly meditating on God's Word, then it is not affecting you like it should. Remember time is no excuse. It can be done in less than five minutes. The important part is your heart. Humble your heart as you start. Don't resist the teaching of the passage because of your sin. Just keep confessing and letting God's Spirit take God's word into your heart. Do this regularly for 5-10 minutes a day. Remember this is not memorizing but meditating. Your faith will grow and so will your faithfulness. Faithfulness is the reward of continually operating by God's principles.
