Have you ever wished for a place where hatred and selfishness is replaced by kindness and love? This is the kingdom of God. Man-run governments and societies will always fail us, but what we genuinely seek is the Kingdom of God.
You might ask, “Where is the Kingdom of Christ?” We usually think of a kingdom as the extent of a king’s rulewherever he holds power. Emperor Chin for example unified China by his rule. Christ’s kingdom extends the world over through those who obey Him. His kingdom, then, operates differently from the world’s nations.
Jesus answered,
“My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting, that I might not be delivered up to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm." (John 18:36)
Finish the two sentences from the above verse:
“My kingdom is _________________________”
“My kingdom is _________________________”
God’s people are His kingdom. His people are the ones through whom Christ rules through his command of love.
“He has made us to be a kingdom.” (Revelation 1:6)
A strategic basic discipleship series designed to help Christians grow not only in their relationship with God but also with other people. Each section uses a familiar relationship to bring out basic but very practical Biblical teaching.
We highly recommend getting the BFF Discipleship #1 Digital Library which not only includes the Relationship Discipleship book, but slides, summaries, user guide, teacher's reference, etc. This D#1 Library also contains all our other Christian training resources for new believers.
