Let's learn a little more about God's peace.
Remember we will be replacing our worries with God's peace. We need to know what our goal is. The clearer the goal, the more we will be able to obtain it and not be side tracked.
This peace has two aspects.
1) Peace with God
- Peace with God & others.
- Reconciliation - peace making
How did God make peace with us - his former enemies?
Christ went to great lengths to make peace with us. It didn't matter what we looked like, how much money we had, what kind of job we had or what race we are from. He made peace with us through His death on the cross. This work of Christ has now brought a deep sense of security by the Holy Spirit known as assurance of faith. We are born into His family are are forever His. He has committed Himself to care for us.
Christ had peace with God. We find that even in the most oppressive situations, He knew of His Father's love toward Him. He trusted His Father. Peace with God means that you are at one with Him. When crowds were shouting, leaders were tricking him and others betraying him, He was one with God. God's will was His will.
2) Peace of God
"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33, NASB).

- Peace in our inner selves.
- Inner harmony
The peace of Christ focuses on one aspect:
• He was at peace and confident in His life because He perfectly observed God's will.
Peace is the absence of disturbance, a calm and composed soul. It is a quiet equilibrium even if surrounded by tumultuous events.
We cannot have peace of God until we first have peace with God. Peace of God flows from the peace with God. The peace with God has more to do with relationship. The peace of God has to do with trust and obedience.
