Chapters Matthew 5-7 can easily be divided into three sections all having to do with the kingdom of God that was being established: Establishing the standards, emphasizing the scriptural foundations and explaining right living.
Jesus declares the eight founding principles or beatitudes of Gods kingdom. As light and salt, the people of God have a powerful influence upon the dark world. |
