PRINCIPLES OF CHRISTIAN GROWTH

There are three areas we need to master to facilitate Christian growth.

1) The Conflict (Romans 14:1-6)
2) The Judgment (Romans 14:7-12)
3) The Change (Romans 14:13-23)


Judging Others

Faith

Attitudes

Need

The Strong

  Can eat all Pass judgments Fully convinced
Do it for God

The Weak

 Holy selection Judge others Fully convinced

Do it for God

Many errors in life develop because of an error in perception.


We prove His
Lordship (Ro 14:7-8).

We affirm His Lordship
by living for Jesus.

We are not Lord and therefore not Judge. (Ro 14:10-12)

1) It is not our place to judge our brothers.

2) It is our duty to ready ourself to give an account of yourself to the Lord.

He proves His
Lordship (Ro 14:9).

Jesus assumes His
Lordship by coming
(He died & lived).



Correction of behavior results from a correction in perception.


Do not judge others (14:13)
Do not be the cause of another’s fall.(14:14-16)
Concentrate on doing what is acceptable to God (14:17-19)
Don’t destroy God’s work for the sake of truth (14:20-21)
Don’t act in doubt (14:22)
Always act in faith (14:23)
