Can’t Make It?

You might wonder if there is any hope for you. Yes, there is! It doesn’t matter how bad, evil, or even how long you have given in to sexual temptations. There is hope for you. There might be consequences that will stay with you the rest of your lives, but through God’s grace, true recovery is possible for each one of us. Many people, including myself, have been set back on the pathway of purity according to God’s original design. We can see what God has promised us in Titus 3:3–6.
The change in our lives that we need will not depend on how good we have been; otherwise there would not have been any hope for any of us. The opportunity to change derives from what God has done for us through Jesus Christ. The evil one doesn’t want us to find this true love, power, and freedom in Christ Jesus. He desires to keep us enslaved to our wayward desires.
Titus 3:3–6
“For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior.”
