The church is filled with Christians who don't want to get involved. How do you develop Christians eager to grow? You must train them with the right biblical perspective of Christian living. The 3xE discipleship booklets can be the tool for doing this.
Whether it be a new Christian or with one that does not understand much about the Christian faith, the 3xE discipleship course enables you to engage them in a series of conversations around basic Christian truths. Although you are steered by the booklet's discipleship lessons, you the mentor share illustrations on how you have learned or are learning to apply different special truths to your life.
The new Christian is really eager to learn. If we train them right, they will grow right. Try using the 3xE discipleship material. It's thoroughly biblical and church-oriented.
Though there are more discipleship resources out there than before, most, however, have originated in the university context and depreciate the glorious place the local church has in their lives.
They might have a lesson on 'going to church' but this is hardly the concept of the church that is necessary to make a strong Christian. We need to train God's people on how to counter the me-focused 'Christian living' that has grown so popular today.
Christians need to understand how the church is central to the decisions they make in life. The 3xE discipleship booklets accomplish this not only through presenting basic Christian concepts but the way these truths are to shape us in our minds and lifestyles.
The 3xE discipleship program is kept flexible by not putting the scriptures and details in the student's booklet.
The teacher's (i.e,, Discipler's) booklet has suggested verses and possible discussion points, but the mentor should feel free to use the scriptures and Bible version that they sense are most appropriate to use.
The inexpensively printed discipler and disciple booklets, as well as downloads, are available from the BFF store.
If you would like, you can order the BFF Discipleship #1 Digital Library which has many helpful discipleship resources including the 3xE resources. These materials can be read, printed out and used at your convenience. A complete description is at the BFF Resource Center.
