20 Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, 21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21, NASB).

1. (Intro) Name all the superheroes that you can. Why are they so popular? In this study we will be looking into real not fictitious power. We will discover in these verses how each of His people can through God’s grace be a place God's great power is seen.
   
   
   
2. Ephesians 3:20-21 is part of a longer prayer that begins in 3:14. Read the whole text aloud. Although this is one prayer, it has two parts. How are the two parts of the prayer (14-19) and (20-21) different?
   
   
   
3. Ephesians 3:14-19 is an intercessory prayer. Circle the times the word ‘you’ is used. When is the last time you prayed for someone else? What did you ask God to do?
   
   
   
4. Ephesians 3:20-21 is quite different from the previous prayer. How would you describe this kind of prayer? Have you ever prayed this way before. Why or why not?

Application

1. It is normal for each Christian both to experience God’s power and glory in their lives. Have you? Pray that God would show more of His glory through your lives?
   
   
   
2. We might think that if Jesus was with us wherever we went that our whole life would be so much better? Why? How would He impact those around you? These verses teach us that the Lord wants to live out His life through our lives. Think one specific place you would like to see more of Jesus’ power lived out in your life for the sake of others. Pray this through.
   
   
   
3. We are to live for God’s praise. Write down the major things you are doing in your life through the day. Ask yourself:
   
   (1) Are you doing these things for God’s glory?
   
   (2) How can you more clearly do these things for His glory.
   
   
   
4. Have you ever stolen God’s glory? If so, name a time (and confess it if you have not).
