| If we merely seek to overcome our lusts to avoid some bad consequence, we are no doubt fooling ourselves. Lusts quickly ensnare their victims in patterns that are hard to break out of. We need to look beyond our immediate need and see this as an opportunity to get a better picture of our whole life. |
Although many of us have not thought about God's purpose for our lives in any given area, it is important that we seek to understand His purposes, appreciate His design, and adopt His design and purposes for our lives. We have not given any simple answers because the problem is not simple. This doesn't mean the escape is so hard. However, many do not take the time to be thorough so to deal with the problems needing to be dealt with. |
