Purpose

Enabling us to understand, love and wisely share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with Liberals.

Sometimes it is difficult to talk about the Lord with people shaped by theological liberalism. They may share a Christian heritage while rejecting key biblical truths. This five-part series helps Christians understand that perspective, respond with love and wisdom, and look for meaningful opportunities to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Five-Part Series

This five-part mini-series explores the background of theological liberalism and offers practical ways to engage in thoughtful, loving gospel conversations.

1. Brief Historical Background of Liberals

Provides essential historical background for the rise of theological liberalism and shows how its assumptions shaped views of God, Scripture, and life.

2. What Do You Say to a Liberal?

Helps Christians engage theological liberals in meaningful conversation rather than shallow debate, so the truth and glory of God can be seen more clearly.

3. Love for God

Examines how theological liberalism emphasizes love for neighbor while often removing the first and greatest command—to love God—and how that changes its understanding of love.

4. Running on Empty

Shows how Christians can speak about the Gospel without unnecessary offense while demonstrating the power of God's love and truth through life and conversation.

5. An Open Mind?

Asks what it really means to have an open mind and whether openness should mean rejecting or fairly examining the truth of God's Word.
