Dear Prayer Team,
Speaking in tongues
Translation is one facet of modern technology that can be used for good or evil. God sees the world's thinkers joining together and planning schemes that do not please Him (cf. Psalm 2).
Meanwhile in much the same way that the Roman Empire united world communication making possible the spread of the gospel, many internet cafes are popping up all over the globe paving special roads directly into unreached hearts . People from different countries such as Australia, Philippines, Ghana and India continue to use BFF's materials regularly.
Below are two snippets from non-English speaking people using BFF materials. Do you notice anything unusual?

We are grateful for those willing to translate the materials,sentence by sentence, into Telugu, an Indian language. With each translation, many more people can appropriately use the materials. Our hope is that the local people will develop their own materials that can speak powerfully to their own audience.
We also appreciate automatic computer-driven translators. They might not be perfectly accurate, but they can do a decent job if people are patient. We want to figure out how to make it easier to do translation on the BFF site.

We appreciate the number of people subscribing to BFF's update letter. There is still time! We are thankful that God moved through a funeral message to touch the hearts of several men. Later Paul learned that two men have been praying for a breakthrough of this nature to their otherwise hardened Chinese colleagues. Elizabeth is re-enrolling for her last year at college. She needs to get ready for an art show. We are so thankful for Linda's extra energy even in the summer heat. Paul sensed and apperciated God's help in preparing and delivering four messages last weekend. Praise God for answering your prayers. Numerous people have been encouraged and challenged by the new series on 'Reviving Your Spiritual Devotions!' |
Pray for a a spirit of repentance that leads to revival among God's people. Paul is speaking once on the 7/28. Pray for conversion of the two men and their families who were moved by the evangelistic funeral message. Pray for special wisdom while writing materials to strengthen marriages. Pastor Stephen Paul in India needs protection and health for his family. Continue to seek God for those translators who want to translate BFF materials into their own language. Each day numerous people are reading to find help for marital, homosexual or other friendship problems. May God's Spirit mightily work. Please pray for the 100+ people reading the BFF website each day. |
