Ephesians

1:1-14

5. He Blessed Us (Eph 1:11-12)

In Him also
we have
obtained an
inheritance,

having been
predestined
according to His
purpose

who works all
things after the
counsel of His will

to the end that we who
were the first to hope in
Christ should be to the
praise of His glory.

Blessings are
from the Lord
given in
Christ.

There is a powerful emphasis that
God has brought these blessings into
our sinful lives. Without His purpose
and kind intention, we just wouldn’t
have a chance of gaining anything
from God.

Our ultimate purpose is not
found in our own small
purposes but in accomplishing
the purpose of God in Christ in
which we show off the glory of
God.
